Hello!

A few words about Yuniko Studio and me. Yuniko Studio is about the beauty and uniqueness of handmade objects and the place they have in our lives

I work from my home in Coogee, a beach-side suburb in Perth, Western Australia. The studio is nestled in a bushy garden full of birds who are a joyful reminder of freedom and flow, qualities which inspire me in the process of my work

My art practice covers several different media including ceramics, printmaking, collage, textiles and sculpture. I love exploring and experimenting with materials and processess - found materials, random mark-making - working in a playful, unstructured way. This approach is influenced by my backgroud in art therapy which emphasises spontaneity and self expression over conscious control
